Braema is a consultant on corporate communication, the non-profit sector and social policies. She leads a human rights group called MARUAH, is a founder of Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2), a former president of AWARE (the Association of Women for Action and Research, where she still leads an initiative on human trafficking) and she served two terms as Nominated Member of Parliament.
Braema has been a panelist at two ONE (SINGAPORE) discussions: “Redefining the Economics of Living: Meeting Singapore’s Social Needs” and “Child Prostitution,Human Trafficking and Poverty”.
An award-winning journalist with The Straits Times, Braema also initiated the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
Braema Mathi was a member of the Board of Advisors at ONE (SINGAPORE) from 07 August 2012 till 31 July 2013.
