Poverty No More – Episodes 7 & 8 – MDG#6 HIV/AIDS & Malaria
Episodes #07 and #08
(24-25 July 2010)
In the fourth week of “Poverty No More”, we focus on MDG #6, combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other serious illnesses. We look at some progress that’s been made and how far we still have to go. The cost of antiretroviral drugs has plummeted, which is potentially great news for the millions infected with HIV/AIDS. And more insecticide-treated bed nets are reaching families in Asia and Africa. Locally, some Singapore students led a very interesting public awareness and concrete action campaign called NETS for NETS.
